Why do you need a family nurse?

Why do you need a family nurse?

Before there was Medialpha, there were Nurses. Nurses thinking about their patients. Thinking about how to manage their care from home. Whether these nurses work in Hospitals, Pharmacies or Clinics,  a Nurse thinks ahead to help clients that they identify will need help to manage care from home. Help with identifying resources, providing care, and reminding of follow ups.

I may have let the cat out of the bag, but this article is all about the heart and soul of the health care profession, the beating heart and soul of Medialpha : YOUR FAMILY NURSE What is a Nurse?  Well, people have pondered and penned answers to this very question for a long time.

“Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription.”
– Val Saintsbury

“To do what nobody else will do, a way that nobody else can do, in spite of all we go through;
that is to be a nurse.”
– Rawsi Williams

“Constant attention by a good nurse may be just as important as a major operation by a surgeon.”
– Dag Hammarskjold, diplomat

These quotes are but a few!

 As the mother is the heart and hearth of home, essential to the daily functions of her family, scheduling, noting, tending, changing, and adapting routines as needed, so too functions your Family Nurse.

The Nurse thinks ahead for you; calls to check on how your husband is managing after his knee replacement, checks in to see if she can stop by for a visit to double check that high blood pressure reading she saw last week. Calls the new mother at home to see how well she is adjusting to that beautiful 7lb 8oz baby human she gave birth to 2 weeks ago.  How is baby? How are YOU doing mom? Getting enough sleep? How is your support network? Can we recommend these resources to help you for these different needs?

Who in a room of 100 can say that they have not been touched by a nurse? The one who took the time to hold the hand of the frightened child through their vaccination. The one who sang to Grampa in his palliative care bed in his final moments?  The one who was there when they gave birth and didn’t think that they could find the strength for one more push. The one who held the new widow as she wept at the passing of her love. Our Nurses are readily at your service to provide medication injections, blood tests, wound care, education and other needs you may require.

Yes, being a Nurse is a real incredible role. One that has inspired us to be who we have become. One that inspires us period.

We are so lucky to be surrounded by these knowledgeable and caring souls, that we have built our livelihood around them, and we would like to introduce them to you, the frontlines of our health care system, readily available in places where access to Health Care can be less than ideal, bridging the distance with every call, smile and visit.

“When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece.”
– John Ruskin, social thinker

This folks, is what it is to be a Nurse, with Medialpha as the bridge to close the gap, connecting these invaluable resources, our Nurses to you, the client. Bringing Care Home. With Medialpha, you are treated like more than a client, we treat you like Family. Our hope and mission is for these nurses to be YOUR FAMILY NURSE.
